A New Experience for Pre-K and Elementary

Starting February 2019 our elementary school-aged kids will begin new, age-specific small groups, on Sunday mornings! These groups will be smaller in size. Our belief is that these smaller groups will foster deeper relationships between our kids and their leaders as they learn about the radical love of Jesus.

Smaller Small Groups Start at 10:00 a.m.

This change will impact the full Sunday morning experience. To ensure that the small groups have enough time to connect, the preschoolers and elementary schoolers will no longer be joining the adults for worship and will begin and end the morning in their small group rooms.

When you arrive at church, you will check your kids in and take them to their small group room downstairs.

Clarksburg Kids is a Christ-centered ministry tailored for children from newborn through 8th grade.

Our nursery lays the foundation for a child’s first experience at church. It’s a place where our youngest children are loved, cared for, and prayed over in a safe and fun atmosphere.

Using God’s word, preschoolers learn that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. We teach these truths through stories, video, worship songs, crafts and games.

Our goal is to provide an engaging environment for elementary age kids, where they can learn about Jesus and make friends along the way. Kids first gather as a large group for worship and creative Bible teaching and then divide into small groups for a time of exploratory learning and sharing with peers.

Check In for First-Time Guests

When you arrive at the Clarksburg Kids check-in area, we’ll ask you to provide (for each child):

  • Parent/legal guardian names
  • Children’s names and birthdates
  • Address and phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs, etc.)

After we enter this information into our database, you and your child will receive identification tags that are unique to your family each week. For the duration of the service, your child wears the nametag portion while you keep the receipt tag. During dismissal, you’ll need to show your receipt tag before your child is released from class.

Paging Parents

If we need to contact you during the service, your family’s unique identification code will appear on the screens in the sanctuary. If your code appears on the screen, return to the check-in area and we will have you reconnect with your child.

To ensure the safety of your child, every Clarksburg Kids volunteer is screened with an interview and background check. We use an identification tag system for child check-in and pick-up and a paging system for parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the service.

Creative Bible Teaching

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep kids engaged. We want all children to love God’s Word and discover why it’s so important to apply it to their lives.

Small Groups

Being a part of a small group is a powerful experience for adults and kids alike. Starting from age 3, children are a part of a small group environment where they learn how God’s Word fits into their lives, how to talk to God, and how to develop friendships with their small group leader and peers. We believe that life is better together!

Kids love to have fun! We create engaging ways for children to learn about Jesus. When children have fun at church, they can not wait to come back!

We want to partner with you as you lead your children to grow in their faith, so Clarksburg Church offers a variety of resources to help you start faith conversations at home.
