What are your Easter Sunday plans? An afternoon lunch, after service Easter egg hunt, time with the family? If your plans also include coming to church, we would love to have you for brunch which will take place between our two services, but we would also love for you to participate in a special Serve and Be Served Sunday.
As the body of Christ, we are called to work together to love and serve each other.
We want this Easter to be a time that you are dually blessed both by being served and by serving. If you call Clarksburg Church home, we invite you to be served by attending one of our two Easter Morning gatherings (or do we call them celebrations?). Then, we invite you to serve others by volunteering your time before, after, or during the other gathering. There are lots of ways to serve that fit every schedule, capacity, and talent!
Some of you already serve faithfully on Sunday mornings and may already be scheduled to serve on Easter — you are all set to go! If you regularly serve but are not scheduled to serve on Easter, this is an opportunity to participate in a new way! Additionally, if you do not normally serve, this is a great way to start or get involved in a new way.
Here are a few of the available opportunities:
- Help set up the church: front porch set up, arranging the sanctuary, be one of the firsts to arrive and turn on all of the lights.
- Help with brunch! Set up tables, pick up food, help with clean up.
- Serve in Children’s Ministry: serve in the nursery, monitor the hallways, check name tags.
Please sign up here to let us know when and how you would like to Serve and Be Served this Easter.
