Meet Eugene: Help Our Neighbor Restore His Property

January 26 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

A day of service to restore beauty in Clarksburg, MD.

Along Frederick Road, just north of Clarksburg Church, are two houses that belong to Mr. Pantalone, an 82-year-old resident of the Clarksburg area since the 1950s. Eugene’s houses and property have become covered in brush and vines and need the help of the community to restore them to what they once were. This is a “Love Your Neighbor” opportunity as we gather together to cut trees, clear debris, and restore the external premises of the property.

  • When: Saturday, January 26th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Where: 22920 Frederick Road, Clarksburg, MD
    • Parking: Due to limited parking at the property, we ask that you park at Clarksburg Church (22820 Frederick Road, Clarksburg MD). We will shuttle volunteers via personal vans and vehicles.
  • What: Volunteers will work OUTSIDE either cutting branches or vines, removing debris, or clearing fields.
  • Bring with you: Work gloves and a water bottle. Dress for the cold. Be prepared to work outside with no access to shelter. Bathrooms will be available at the church. If you have hedge trimmers, shears, or saws and can be responsible to use them safely, please bring them.
  • Additional Needs: Wood Chipper and Large Dumpster

Other: Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone, parent, or guardian. We will have coffee and snacks available.
