It’s never been easier to change the world right where you are. At Clarksburg, we aim to make a big impact through small groups. In community we focus on meeting a specific are of need: Restore the Refugee, Care for the Poor, Educate the Child, and Champion the Underserved. Participate in a group explore what it means to live on-mission daily!
Restore the Refugee
This group works with newly resettled refugee families living in the DMV with the aim of building relationships and creating a safe and welcoming environment. Opportunities may include providing transportation, employment and education mentoring, donating material needs (clothing, housewares, etc.).
Care for the Poor
This group serves those experiencing homelessness, hunger and poverty. Opportunities may include assembling care kits, volunteering at homeless shelters, and participating in clothing drives.
Educate the Child
Empower the next generation by helping fill the resource gap both here and abroad. Opportunities may include: ESL tutoring, after school tutoring, donating classroom resources and mentoring teens through Campus Life.
Champion the Underserved
Be the voice and raise awareness for those whose gifts and talents are often underserved and unseen. Opportunities may include building relationships with the elderly, as well as appreciating first responders and military members.
