Something New
Posted July 10th, 2025
Welcome to something new for our congregation: a blog.
This isn’t meant to be flashy. It won’t be filled with clickbait or content for the masses. It’s not here to go viral.
It’s here for us—for the real, beautiful, sometimes messy, always sincere congregation that is Clarksburg Church.
If you’ve been around for a while, you know that we’re a small church—but in the best kind of way. We’re small enough to know one another by name, but wide enough to reflect 14 nations and countless stories of faith, growth, healing, and hope.
That kind of depth doesn’t always fit in a Sunday morning.
That’s why we’re starting this blog.
This is a space to keep the conversation going. A place for real humans, trying to follow Jesus together, to keep listening, reflecting, and sharing. You might find:
A follow-up thought or deeper dive from a Sunday sermon
Notes on leadership decisions or ministry direction
Reflections from voices throughout our congregation—not just the pastor’s
Resources for study, prayer, or practice
Honest questions, thoughtful prayers, or maybe a good story
It’s kind of like our “broccoli time” on Sundays—that part where we engage each other, ask questions, share prayers, and do the work of community. Except this time, it’s on the page.
For now, we’re planning to post once a month, and our hope is that more and more voices will fill this space—because our church is made up of more than one perspective. If you love to write, reflect, share what God is teaching you—or even just want to take a shot at it—we’d love for you to contribute. (Just shoot Serena (serenakamble@clarksburgchurch.com) an email :) This blog belongs to the congregation, and your voice matters.
We don’t have a ton of programs. We try to stay high on presence, low on pretense. This blog is just one more way to live into that—to show up for each other, to stay rooted in Jesus, and to keep living sent lives that look more like heaven than earth.
So, welcome to the blog. Let’s see what God does with it.
