Fasting and Feasting

Hungry for Jesus

2000 years ago, in front of a crowd of witnesses, Jesus died. His disciples heard his last words. They saw him take his final breath. They witnessed soldiers piercing his side and saw water and blood pouring from his side. They saw him be buried. They mourned for three days.

The crazy part about it is, at first when the resurrected Jesus stood before them, people struggled to recognize him.

Hungry for Life

Jesus tells us that the way that God wins is not through might, garnering human power, or mowing down the enemy, but through sacrifice and love. Jesus said that this earth can look more and more like heaven because he laid down his life.

Hungry for Healing

We are called to be people who give and receive anointing and prayer. It is an act that heals. Sometimes it heals in a supernatural way, God in his infinite power and wisdom decides to bring the healing that we will all experience in Heaven here on Earth in the present.

Hungry for Strength

Hungry for Answers

Jesus didn’t reveal himself to the disciples. He helped them arrive to understanding. He opened their eyes. When they had questions, he welcomed them. When we have questions, He welcomes us.

And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found gathered together the eleven and those who were with them, saying, “The Lord has really risen and has appeared to Simon.” They began to relate their experiences on the road and how He was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.
Luke 24:33-35

Hungry for Blessing

What ways have been trying to satisfy your hunger by pretending to be someone/something that you are not?
When Esau heard his father’s words, he burst out with a loud and bitter cry and said to his father, “Bless me—me too, my father!”
Genesis 27:34

Filled from the tree of life

We are so hungry. It is like we are in the middle of a spiritual famine. The things that we used to feed us in the past arent' working/don't satisfy. And trying to fill the emptiness has left us tired and sullen and lethargic. And we don't know what to do.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

John 15:5
